We developed a bold, bright, and impactful identity, utilising a vibrant colour palette of blue and yellow. This choice not only reflected Andy’s connection to the colour blue but also paid homage to his beloved mascot, Smash. To complement this, we selected an eye-catching sans-serif font, creating a visual identity that is both accessible and instantly recognisable.

Smash the Monkey, Andy’s mascot, has been instrumental in the growth of Topspin Monkeys over the years. When reimagining Smash’s design, it was vital to retain his charm and approachability while modernising his look. The new illustration features Smash standing upright, juggling a tennis ball to convey a sense of motion, and holding a racquet over his shoulder with a cheerful smile. This design balances approachability for younger children with a sense of relatability for older kids and their parents.

Carrying this sense of playfulness into the website redesign was a key priority. We focused on creating a user-friendly experience with a smooth journey, making it easy to access key information quickly. With over 70% of traffic to Andy’s previous website coming from mobile devices, we also ensured the new site was highly optimised for mobile performance.
