Edition 9 of the Surrey Tennis Quarterly (STQ) has officially landed, marking a strong start to 2026 and showcasing the people, stories and successes shaping tennis across Surrey.
This latest edition is packed with news, updates and insight from across the county. Highlights include in-depth interviews with rising Surrey stars Max Basing and Swasthi Arun, offering an honest look at their journeys, challenges and ambitions within the game. Readers can also explore a new feature in Advice Corner, providing practical insight to support players, coaches and clubs.
A key moment in this edition is Justin Sherring’s reflective look back on Surrey’s historic County Cup Race title, capturing the teamwork, commitment and achievement behind another standout season for the county.
The Surrey Tennis Quarterly continues to play an important role in celebrating grassroots tennis, performance pathways, volunteering and club development, while connecting the wider Surrey tennis community through shared stories and experiences.
Creating the STQ remains one of the highlights of the year, offering the opportunity to bring inspiring stories together in a design-led format that is consistently well received.
Edition 9 is available to read now, and we’d like to thank everyone who contributed to making this another special issue for Surrey tennis.
